BACKGROUND:
Kill la Kill is set in japan.
This is about as far as you're going to get in terms of normality, since everything else is balls to the walls crazy. It focuses on Honnouji Academy, a fictional high school located in Tokyo Bay, where new student Ryuko Matoi has just transferred in her search for her Father's murderer with nothing but a mysterious scissor shaped sword left to her by him. She soon discovers it's unlike any other school, dominated and ran by the student council, who use special outfits known as Goku Uniforms to give themselves abilities far beyond the scope of a regular human and maintain their control over the student body. Ryuko initially attempts to question the leader of the student council, Satsuki Kiryuin, over her father's death - but she's no match for the uniform enhanced students under her control. She returns to her old home, lamenting her defeat, but falls into a trap door and lands in the basement inadvertently awakening Senketsu, a unique Goku Uniform developed by her father known as a Godrobe, which forces her to wear him. It gives her more than enough power to fight back against the Academy, the council and the students, and so her quest for answers really begins.
So! Before we begin, Goku uniforms, aka those crazy outfits that give everyone super powers.
Goku Uniforms are created from special material known as life fibers, which are actually parasitic entities that spawn from the Original Life Fiber, a massive entity that crashed into Earth tens of thousands of years ago. Alien in origin, they originally invaded their hosts bodies and received sustenance from their life force, but found most couldn't take the strain from having the fibers within them and died. Instead, they decided to cover their hosts instead, choosing the ancestors of today's humans as they were the species with the most well developed brains, speeding up their evolution as well. Eventually the life fibers became dormant, but left humans with the instinct to cover themselves, a side effect of having been granted the benefits of hosting the life fibers for so long. When a life fiber bonds with its host, it attaches itself to its peripheral nervous system, which is to prevent the shock of having it bond to its organs instead as it did when it first arrived, which is what resulted in the hosts dying. Life fibers are capable of altering the DNA of their hosts to benefit them, which is how humans developed larger brains during the early stages of their evolution. It's also theorized that this is also how Goku Uniforms grant their wearers superhuman abilities - enhancing the strength of their host to ensure their survival. They also seem to be capable of directly controlling their evolution in response to outside stimuli, mostly seen in life or death situations, and manifest new abilities in their host to ensure their survival, heavily evident in the rapid growth of the series main character, Ryuko Matoi.
In the Academy, Goku Uniforms are given ranks, which also determine the amount of life fiber used in the makeup of the clothing itself.
(1) ★ Star uniform.
(Made with 10% Life Fibers.)
These make up the basic members of any club in the school, such as gardening, boxing and dancing.
(2) ★★ Star uniform.
(Made with 20% Life Fibers.)
Two star uniforms are generally reserved for the presidents of a school club, such as Shiro Iori, president of the sewing club, and Takaharu and Omiko in charge of the Boxing and Tennis clubs respectively.
(3) ★★★ Star uniform.
(Made with 30% Life Fibers.)
Three star uniforms seem to be reserved for the Student Council members, the elite four. These are Gamagori Ira(Disciplinary Committee), Houka Inumata(Information and strategy committee), Nonon Jakazure(All non-athelic groups, such as gardening and music) and Sanageyama himself(Athletics division.)
The stars also determine a social hierarchy within the Academy, with students lacking a Uniform(0 Stars) living in the slums, while 3 stars(the student council) live in the lap of luxury. Because the student council have the most power, not to mention the influence Satsuki(their leader) has, the higher ups maintain the oppressive status quo through force. Also of note are the Godrobes, a special kind of Goku Uniform which is made up of 100% life fibers, making them far stronger than even the uniforms of the Student Council. There are only two known existing Godrobes, in possession of the main character Ryuko and the leader of the student council Satsuki. However, they have no real reflection on their status, as Ryuko lives in the slums with a family of 0 stars, while Satsuki is the highest on the Academy's social ladder.
With all that said, we can finally get on with Sanageyama's personal history.
Growing up, Sanageyama had always been a delinquent. Irritated with being compared to his elder brother, who was more well-mannered and intelligent than he was, he lashed out by being a no good punk. His family's konnyaku business is the most well-known company for making the product, so Sanageyama's poor reputation was causing a lot of trouble for his parents, but he didn't care. In fact one day, when a kid in middle school called Sanageyama the "Konnyaku Kid", he lost his temper and badly injured the one who'd said it, with the school having to call in Sanageyama's parents to intervene. His father struck Sanageyama and told him to stop intentionally causing trouble for them, and instead to find something in life he wants and strive to achieve no matter what - as long as he did that, they would always be proud of him. From that point on, Sanageyama decided to do something amazing to make his parents proud. He decided to only fight those who were stronger than him, beating down the delinquents of Gunma, Tochigi, Ibaraki prefectures and all of Northern Kantou with nothing but his Shinai, establishing the Northern Kanto Middle School Banchou Alliance.
Three years prior to the beginning of the series, Sanageyama took 500 of his best fighters with him to confront Satsuki Kiryuin. Satsuki first defeated all of his flunkies with her fight spirit alone, then when Sanageyama rushed in and got behind her to attack, she thrust the end of her weapon's hilt back into his stomach, winding(and defeating) him in one blow. However, despite his loss, she offered him a place at her academy and amongst the elite four student council, so that he would have a stage where he could unleash his full power and enjoy fighting to his heart's content, an offer he gladly accepted. He's been loyal to her ever since.
Sanageyama is introduced to us following Ryuko's escape from the boxing club captain, Takaharu Fukuroda, discussing Ryuko and the boxing captain's failure. One of the other council members, Gamagori Ira, berates Sanageyama for Takaharu's failure as Sanageyama is the one in charge of the athletics division of the academy, making Takaharu his direct subordinate, and so placing the failure on his head also. He responds by telling the council that his failure is being taken care of, that he's being disciplined for it, and organizes Ryuko's friend, Mako, being taken hostage and used as bait to lure Ryuko out. Once she arrives with her new uniform, he oversees their fight alongside the student body, the other council members and Satsuki. Everyone is surprised to see how powerful it has made her, especially following Takaharu's defeat. He also oversees the Tennis match between the Tennis Club Captain, Omiko Hakodate, and Ryuko at a later date and acts as umpire, though once again one of his subordinates is defeated.
Eventually, Sanageyama approaches Satsuki asking for permission to fight Ryuko, because of how strong she is, reminding Satsuki of his desire to fight that emerges whenever he comes across someone powerful. She grants him permission, though reminds him that the price of failure is a loss of his status and uniform, which he acknowledges, saying she can "treat him to a cup of tea" should he win. When he takes on Ryuko, he outdoes her at every turn, a combination of his strength, speed, swordplay and Tengantsu overwhelming her and he finds himself on the brink of victory. However, Ryuko purposefully damages her own uniform, the material splitting into several sheets of fabric and covering up all of the parts of Sanageyama's uniform that he can see through, effectively nullifying his Tengatsu ability - which relies upon his sight to function - and blinds him. During his disorientated state she delivers her thread stripper attack, completely destroying Sanageyama's uniform and winning the match. Although he tries to continue fighting, Gamagori strikes him down and berates him, calling his behavior shameful.
Realizing his reliance on his eyes cost him the match, Sanageyama visits the head of the sewing club, Shiro Iori. He requests Shiro sew his eyes shut and - despite his protests - he eventually agrees. He then approaches Satsuki, who at first reprimands him as "a loser with no resolve" and claims she doesn't need a subordinate like that, but he reveals his newly sewn eyes and claims it to be a show of his resolve, stating if given one more chance he'll defeat Ryuko. Intrigued, Satsuki allows him to try once more and earn his status back.
Sanageyama challenges Ryuko again, this time with Satsuki overseeing their fight, and at first Ryuko mocks Satsuki for being uncharacteristically soft. Sanageyama reveals he has a new uniform, a MK.II version of his original one, transforming first - after Ryuko transforms she repeats her tactic of slicing off part of her own uniform and covering up the front of his helmet to blind him, then proceeds to attack from behind. He predicts her movement and fires a kendo sword at her in retaliation, knocking her to the floor. The pieces of fabric then fall from Sanageyama's helmet, revealing his eyes sewn shut, and Satsuki explains that by sewing his eyes shut he has heightened his other senses, increasing his affinity with his uniform to the point that his Tengatsu ability has evolved into the Shingetsu ability, which allows him to predict his opponents movements to an even greater degree using all of his senses, rather than simply relying on one of them. He proceeds to completely wreck Ryuko in their rematch, and as he attempts to finish her off, his uniform overheats and vanishes. During the confusion Ryuko escapes, but Satsuki tells Sanageyama that it was a victory on his part, and that he simply overcame his uniform in terms of power - something that can not be considered a loss, despite his opponent having escaped. Later, he returns to Satsuki and thanks her for giving him a second chance, and she offers him the tea she promised should he win against Ryuko - but he says he'll pass, as his senses have heightened to the point his tongue is too sensitive to stand the heat of the tea.
Later, Satsuki announces the "Nationals election", granting all students permission to attack each other without consequence. In seven days, those who reach the schoolyard alive will have fought for their social standing and uniforms yet again, claiming that in this election you represent yourself through your strength, will and ideals, as opposed to voting for another. The student council questions her methods, but they decide it doesn't really matter, as the four of them will reach the schoolyard with no problem and decide to go their separate ways and enjoy some time alone. When the seven days are up, Satsuki calls five large pillars to emerge from the ground, declaring those who stand atop them will all be considered for positions in the student council and three star uniforms. Naturally, the Student Council and Ryuko are the five left standing. The Council then request to face Ryuko one-on-one in single combat, each, to which Satsuki agrees. Ryuko accepts in the hopes that once she defeats the four of them, she'll be able to face off against Satsuki.
Once the other three have been defeated, Sanageyama and Ryuko prepare to have their rematch, but are interrupted by a girl named Harime Nui. Sanageyama tells her to get out of the way, but she says she can't because she'll be fighting Ryuko soon, to which he objects and attempts to attack her - however, she easily blocks his attack. He then attempts to use his finishing move on her, only for Nui to disassemble his uniform by reaching within it and pulling out the Banshi, completely destroying it. The Banshi is explained to be the most vital part of the uniform, which holds all of the other life fibers and threads together. She then knocks Sanageyama off of the platform they're fighting on, though he survives by ramming his sword into one of the pillars from earlier and holding onto it.
Later, after Nui drives Ryuko into a monstrous berserk state, Sanageyama returns(completely naked) to comment on the situation, declaring he can't possibly die until he settles his score with Ryuko. Gamagori tells him to get a fucking shirt or something, just stop standing around naked. Then, when Satsuki descends to confront the Ryuko in her monstrous, berserk state, the Student Council appear around her and ask if she'll be okay, to which she responds the voting grounds are a lost cause and for them to evacuate all of the students. Ryuko confronts Satsuki days later, the latter telling her that thanks to all of Ryuko's battles, she's managed to perfect the manufacturing of the Ultima Uniforms and is going to use them to subjugate all of the other schools in the west.
The campaign to conquer the other schools is referred to as the "Conquest of the Big Three", with Gamagori leading his subordinates to take over Kobe, Jukuzure attacking Kyoto and Sanageyama attacking Osaka, with Inumata supporting the three from a distance. Osaka ends up being the most difficult to conquer, as their students at first have the power to fight back against the students of Honnouji, supported by the wealth of their own student council president Kaneo Takarada, who is heir to the Takarada Conglomerate. Eventually however Sanageyama and the Athletics division gain the upper hand, only for Takarada to appear with an army made up entirely of the merchants of Osaka, armed to the teeth with firearms. Sanageyama, lacking a uniform, is outmatched - until Satsuki herself arrives and defeats all of the merchants herself. At this point Takarada reveals his trump card, the Dotonbori Robo, a robot battlesuit shaped like a crab given to him by the underground organization fighting Satsuki's ambitions known as nudist beach. At first he has the advantage, but eventually the other council members arrive with their new uniforms(MK.II's of their original ones) and Iori delivers Sanageyama's new uniform, MK.III. Changing into it, he transforms and easily defeats Takarada, after which the entire Nudist Beach organization shows up to oppose Satsuki alongside Ryuko. The student council all transform in their new uniforms and defeat Nudist Beach while Satsuki fights Ryuko to a draw - however, during all the commotion, Jakuzure sneaked into the hideout of Nudist Beach and destroyed it, achieving their true goal of revealing and wiping out the rebellion.
After the conquest of the big three, Satsuki announces the Great Culture & Sports Festival, a ceremony designed to welcome the arrival of Satsuki's mother, who is visiting the academy. The student council organize all of the decorating and preparation for the event under Satsuki's orders, and when Satsuki is revealed to be a traitor to her mother and is rebelling against her, Sanageyama, along with the other three council members, stand with her in rebellion. As Satsuki deals with her Mother, Sanageyama and the other three members of the elite four fight Nui, the girl who defeated Sanageyama before. It isn't until Ragyo emerges having defeated Satsuki and taken her godrobe, Junketsu, that the fighting stops as everyone looks on in horror at both the arrival of COVERS in the sky, and Ragyo transforming in Junketsu and ripping out Ryuko's heart. Desperate to win, Satsuki reveals her final trump card, pulling a detonator and blowing up the arena the festival was set in. Despite her efforts however, everyone survives, and Ragyo takes Satsuki captive while everyone else goes into hiding.
The show skips to one month later, where Ragyo's legions of COVERS are hunting down every remaining human to absorb them into their beings to use as power sources. The elite four have joined nudist beach to help combat Ragyo's forces, and we see Sanageyama trying to help survivors get to an escape chopper. Once the COVERS arrive his uniform transforms, but it doesn't last very long, having deteriorated over time with use and breaks apart shortly after. The members of his former gang then arrive to hold off the COVERS while Sanageyama escapes with everyone else. Later, once the COVERS arrive at the HQ of nudist beach, the big five - Sanageyama, Gamagori, Jakazure, Mikisugi and Tsumugu - head out to fight them head on. Before the fight Gamagori gives his Bakuzan-Koryu sword to Sanageyama - one of the two swords forged from the broken blade of Satsuki's old weapon, Bakuzan, which Ragyo had destroyed - saying that swords are more suited to him. When the COVERS retaliate with sound based attacks, Ryuko finally wakes up and destroys all of the attackins COVERS and abandons them, claiming she's a monster and leaving in a fit of rage.
When the remaining members of Nudist Beach finally hack into the security cameras to find Satsuki, they're at first distressed by the state she's in, but are given renewed confidence once they see she's planning something(sharpening the blade she replaced her toenail with) and all decide to go and rescue her. When Satsuki escapes, the elite four(minus Inumuta) greet her, shield her while she's changing into a robe given to her by them and escort her on her way out, back to the nudist beach ship. Regrouped, they all try to plan their next move, only for Ryuko to arrive brainwashed and wearing Junketsu. A fight between Satsuki wearing Senketsu to fight Ryuko wearing Junketsu breaks out, with the elite four getting involved which all culminates in Gamagori attempting to forcefully remove her from Junketsu with a device designed to extract a person forcefully from life fibers - however, Nui Harime arrives, destroying the device and revealing she sewed Ryuko to Junketsu, and that if it's forcefully removed, she'll die. With some intervention from Mako and Senketsu however, they enter Ryuko's mind and convince her to break free of the brainwashing, ultimately freeing her.
Ryuko then dons senketsu and fights off Nui, while the Elite Four alongside Nudist Beach destroy COVERS summoned to facilitate her escape, gathering up the shredded life fibers from them for their own use. Following this, Ryuko tells Satsuki she wants to give her one strong punch in order to act as penance for her actions up until now. Satsuki agrees, but her initial punch is intercepted by Gamagori. She tries to punch her again, only for Sanageyama to intercept the second one. The elite four then all step in and claim that if she wants to punch Satsuki, Ryuko will have to go through the four of them first, and Ryuko realizes that much like the Mankanshoku family cared for and protected her, the elite four had a similar place in Satsuki's life as well. They then reconcile and all sit down to a meal prepared by Mako's mother. After hacking a satellite, Inumuta shows everyone Ragyo is currently riding the original life fiber somewhere, and Ryuko and Satsuki fly off to intercept her, leaving everything else to the elite four and nudist beach.
As Ryuko and Satsuki fight Ragyo, the Elite Four receive their final uniforms and destroy the COVERS attacking the ship. They then rush to the Original Life Fiber and help Satsuki fight Ragyo. After the Original Life Fiber is destroyed, Nui reveals the ultimate Kamui - Shinra Koutetsu - has been completed, with Ragyo donning it before everyone. All of Satsuki's forces stop for a final tea break before they rush into the academy to face her. Sanegayama tries to break the barrier surrounding the transmitter that's designed to signal the activation of all the life fibers around but fails miserably. Ragyo then activates Koutetsu's Domination ability and suppresses all of the uniforms around her to the point nobody is able to move. The original life fiber then transforms into a liquid state and rushes through the Academy grounds, absorbing everyone. The Elite Four and Mako are the only ones who escape, as Gamagori picks them up and ascends the stairs leading to Ragyo before it reaches them. However, the original life fiber, having returned to a physical state, extends it's fibers and begins to absorb everyone, Sanageyama included. Fortunately Senketsu disrupts Domination by impaling Ragyo and forcefully removing her power source, that being her secretary Rei. With their uniforms re-activated, all of the captured students transform and escape, with the Elite Four being told to deal with the transmitter. Sanageyama, Inumuta and Nonon struggle to breach an army of Nui clones before Gamagori suddenly descends from above, rips open the barrier and creates an opening for nudist beach to finish it off. Sanageyama gives up his uniform to Ryuko to power her up enough to fight Ragyo in space, then helps catch Ryuko alongside everyone else when she falls from the sky to earth.
The last we see of him is during the credits, standing alongside the other Devas as Gamagori prepares to confess to one of the girls(mako, satsuki, who the fuck knows).
PERSONALITY:
You know that typical shounen hero protagonist? Recklessly brave, stupidly optimistic, never gives up, maybe even shouts everything he says 90% of the time? That's Sanageyama - at his very core, he's an anime protagonist. He's spirited, strong, a little arrogant and a huge dork...except he isn't the protagonist. Sanageyama is what would happen if the bad guy decided "hey, that guy could spell trouble for my plans, I should hire him instead", except in this case he wasn't a threat at all, just useful.
The most important thing to know about Sanageyama is he's very direct. He lets people know what he's thinking if he feels he has to say it(for better or worse) and sometimes this means he can say inappropriate things in situations that would call for a bit of tact. Tact, by the way, he mostly lacks. Although he's good at dealing with things when they're general and obvious, more delicate situations and emotions aren't something he's accustomed to handling carefully. Instead, he's more likely to just say what he thinks he has to and hopes for the best; even if he says something that annoys or upsets other people. He isn't afraid to comment on people being stupid and shows absolutely no fear in saying it, even in the face of opponents who could kill him. However, it's not necessarily that he never shows restraint if it's apparent enough that his comments would only make things worse, it's just that he's short on tact. Sanageyama is a good person deep down, he's just an idiot.
The second most important thing to know about Sanageyama is he's incredibly determined and brimming with energy at all times. He's the kind of person who never gives up no matter how bad a situation looks, the kind of guy who even when defeated by an opponent will rise up to challenge them again if he can. It's practically impossible to keep him down short of physically restraining him, and it's this determination and hotblooded attitude that makes him who he is at his core.
From these two traits, it wouldn't be surprising for people to think of Sanageyama as arrogant. He's very sure of himself and in his ability - when he first confronted Satsuki and she defeated all 500 of his gang members with her fighting spirit alone, he didn't hesitate or back down, instead declaring it wouldn't work on him and charging forward to attack. Even when Ryuuko defeats the other sports club captains, even after she beats him, he doesn't lose confidence in himself - in fact, the first thing he does is appeal to Satsuki to give him a second chance, having sewn his eyes shut to prove he learned from his mistakes and knew this time he wouldn't lose to her...and as it turns out, his confidence in himself wasn't misplaced, as he did win against her.
And it's from his initial loss to Ryuuko that we learn something very important about Sanageyama's character; he learns from his mistakes. When he's defeated by Ryuuko for having relied upon his Tengatsu ability, he sews his eyes shut to rid himself of his reliance upon them, his loss merely strengthening his determination to win. When he confronts Nui at the culture festival, he doesn't attempt to take her on by himself because he knows he isn't a match for her one on one, rather, he collaborates with the other members of the Elite Four to fight her instead. He isn't going to come up with some stupid plan designed to appease his wounded pride, he's going to do what he thinks is best for his situation as a whole, and he finds no shame in having to rely in others to do it when it comes down to things that matter. He's almost unreal in how determined he is to succeed, as despite his loss to Satsuki, his loss to Ryuuko and his loss to Nui, he doesn't think any less of himself. He doesn't take pride in his ability, but himself, and he even has confidence in his limits and knowing them is a part of that, because he can't be more than he is, but he's never satisfied and wants to reach that peak.
Because despite his attitude; the shouting, the crudeness, his preference for thinking with violence over words, Sanageyama isn't as stupid as you'd think. While not some kind of genius, not only is he a competent fighter but a very analytical person as well - he leaves just before Jakazure is about to fight Ryuuko, telling her he has to get ready to fight the latter after her fight with Jakazure, and she was irritated with his implying that she was going to lose - but she did lose in the end, just like he'd said. His heightened senses only work so well because of his close attention to detail, being able to discern the general emotions of his opponent through the tenseness of their body language, the smell of their sweat or the sound of their breathing. It also shows his intelligence that he's able to use the behavior of his opponents to predict what their next movement is going to be and counter it in the middle of a fight, further highlighting that he has good insight into the way a person moves and what it indicates they're going to do next.
Still, despite how much of a hardheaded jock he can be, Sanageyama is a good person. He's loyal to a fault, proven by the fact he's so devoted to Satsuki's cause that he'd do anything for her - he's as unnaturally attentive to her as the other elite four members are, appearing at her side whenever he feels like she may need his assistance. He also continues to support his old gang from before he joined Satsuki, despite no longer being the real leader anymore - he sends all of the money he receives that he doesn't need to his gang in order to maintain them. Back when he was assembling his gang, he searched for people who had trouble fitting in in society, be it due to parental neglect or mental illness, giving delinquents the one thing they'd listen to - a strong leader. He wanted to give these people a purpose, since society had otherwise rejected them for their faults. He's also never one to hold a grudge and respects the strength of those who best him, such as Satsuki and Ryuuko. His drive to defeat Ryuuko is more competitive than it is malicious, simply out of a need to fight at full strength, and only those stronger than him can give him the room he needs to do so.
For how much of an advantage his confidence can be however, it can drive him to do terribly reckless things. Although much of his character arc is defined by learning humility, it appears his reckless impulses still surface from time to time, such as charging in to destroy the transmitter barrier by himself and failing completely. His confidence he maintained during his fight with Ryuuko the first time gave her the brief window she needed to trick him and ultimately defeat him. It was also the reason he attacked Nui without even thinking during his attempt at a 3rd fight with Ryuuko, losing him not only his chance at a rematch but cost him his uniform as well. It's also important to realize that while sewing his eyes shut did give him his enhanced senses and proved him to Satsuki enough that he regained his position amongst her ranks, it's a gigantic step to take just for taking a loss. His reactions can be over the top and he's reckless to an extent, usually before he suffers the mistake he can later learn from. If he did these things in real life, he'd be institutionalized.
Also, although he can appear calm and cool when the situation calls for it, he has that trademark shounen protagonist temper going on as well. It's evident in his dealings with characters who antagonize him, such as Jakuzure or Inumuta, and also opponents like Nui. When he gets going he can start shouting and loudly declaring things in response, making him somewhat easy to read as a person. However, it should be noted that this doesn't effect him in a situation that calls for seriousness, as he's perfectly capable of concealing his emotions to his opponent when he has to, giving off an entirely different vibe to people, as if he isn't even the same person. His temper tends to rise when people insult Northern Kanto, as he has great pride in where he came from, and it's one of the things that can easily set him off.
POWER:
[Goku Uniform]
The main source of his absurd anime power level, Blade Regalia(Wondrous Enlightenment, as MK.I, MK.II and MK.III were destroyed). In it's dormant state, it takes the form of a sleeveless shirt, over which he wears a black overcoat with matching pants and shoes. In it's transformed state, it becomes armor, the main ability of which is to increase Sanageyama's physical aptitudes to incredible heights. The greatest trait of his uniform appears to be it's speed, as he moves so quickly he can generate afterimages that appear so real to his opponent that they don't notice it's fake even after they've attacked.
More info here.[Enlightenment]
It doesn't have an official name but I'm going with this. Essentially, it enhances his five senses to the point he can predict his opponent's movements ahead of time with startling accuracy, allowing him to dodge effectively while striking with superhuman precision.

OK SO. Since he lacks an actual third ability he could use, I'd like to use his third power slot to upgrade his Goku Uniform.
1. I'd like it to be able to avoid the natural deterioration it suffered from in the anime. It seems like Goku Uniforms require maintenance if they take too much damage(like repairing the wear and tear of regular clothing, essentially) and without it they become more and more strained to the point they completely collapse and are destroyed. For it to be able to maintain itself when it isn't being used would be great.
2. BUT THE MAIN THING WOULD BE a slider on his uniform that increases/decreases the amount of life fibers his uniform is made up of. Goku uniforms have rankings based on how much of the uniform itself is made up of life fibers - excluding the godrobes, the highest of these is 30%, which accounts for the uniforms used by the elite four, including Sanageyama's own. The reason there's a limit is the more life fibers used in a uniform, the more a human being is at risk of being overwhelmed by their uniform, and turned into a raging monster.
On his clothing where his right forearm would be, there would now be a touchscreen with a digital slider on it, with 10 bars, each representing 10%. By sliding it above 3 and pressing it again to confirm his selection, his uniform would increase the concentration of life fibers in his uniform, powering him up - so if he were to slide it up to 60%, he'd be twice as powerful, 90% is three times as powerful, etc.
Now you may be wondering why bother with anything below 100%! Well, like I mentioned before, the Goku uniforms have an awful habit of becoming unstable and at risk of overpowering their user if the concentration of life fibers is too much for them to handle. In order to make use of the stronger percentages, he'd need to build up a natural resistance to life fibers over time by using the lower ones first, which his uniform would offer him the longer he wears it in his transformed state - wearing it at lower percentages would offer less buildup but less risk, whereas higher percentages would be the opposite - higher risk, higher buildup.
Also, even if he builds up enough of a resistance to life fibers and synchs with them well enough to use the higher percentages, he would still be at risk using them no matter how used to them he actually is - again, just to avoid the IC decision to constantly up himself to 100% right away. But basically the longer he uses it, the more the life fibers would adapt to and alter his body's physiology, making him a more suitable host and allowing him to take on higher percentages, optimizing it's power and allowing him to wield it effectively.
Now, fresh into the game, even 50% would be nearly impossible to keep up for long. I'm thinking it would take a year of frequent use in-game to gain enough control over it to use up to 100%, and even then he wouldn't be able to use the higher values(i'm thinking 70%+) with 100% reliability, and using them would always put him at risk of going berserk and losing his mind. Also, the more he's injured, the more all values of life fibers beyond 30% would increase the strain put on his body, forcing him out of his transformation early. He'll never have total control, but at the very least it would give him an edge in fights where his usual uniform isn't enough.

Oi!
